Today our supplier turned off our electricity between 10am and 2pm to conduct essential maintenance.
So with no computer, no printer, no broadband connection and no office telephone, I had to re-arrange my work. Fortunately, intelligent phone lines enabling me to divert calls to our other office plus my mobile phone and laptop enabled me to conduct a certain amount of work, but I had to think this out in advance.
It’s not until your electricity is stopped that you realise how much you depend on it for business and everything else in life.
It made me appreciate what marvellous tools and technology we are able to use every day.
